The One Piece Sunny-Go Train Has a New Schedule from March 14

Good news for One Piece fans heading to Aso — but check your timings first. The Sunny-Go Train (サニー号トレイン), the world’s only One Piece–themed train service running on the Minamiaso Railway, has had its timetable revised as of March 14. If you had departure or connection times memorised from a previous visit, they may no longer apply.

The announcement comes from the official ONE PIECE Kumamoto Recovery Project, which oversees the collaboration between Eiichiro Oda’s beloved manga series and Kumamoto Prefecture’s ongoing recovery efforts. The Sunny-Go Train has been one of the flagship attractions of that project since the Minamiaso Railway was fully restored after the 2016 Kumamoto earthquakes.

The project notes that the timetable is subject to further change, and that depending on passenger capacity, boarding may occasionally not be possible for safety reasons — so it’s worth confirming availability before you travel, especially during busy holiday periods.

For the most up-to-date departure times, check the official ONE PIECE Kumamoto Project website at op-kumamoto.com or the Minamiaso Railway’s own schedule page before your trip.
