Kumamon Square Is Coming to Tokyo: Fan Festival Goods and Exclusive Merch This November

If you happen to be in Tokyo on the first weekend of November, Kumamon — Kumamoto’s beloved bear mascot — is making a special trip to the capital. Kumamon Square, the official Kumamon visitor center in central Kumamoto City, is setting up a pop-up merchandise booth at Kameid Clock shopping complex for the Kumamon Fan Appreciation Festival 2026 in TOKYO ~Kumamon Gakuensai~ (くまモンファン感謝祭2026 in TOKYO ~くまモン学園祭~), running Saturday–Sunday, November 7–8, 2026.

The event is a fan thank-you festival — think of it as a school culture festival (gakuensai) theme, but for Kumamon devotees. The Kumamon Square team will be on-site running a merchandise booth, so expect the same friendly energy you’d find back at Kumamon Square in Kumamoto.

Here’s a rundown of what’s going on sale at the booth:

Item Price (tax incl.) Notes
Kumamon Square Sankuma Bag 2026 in Tokyo ¥600 Original envelope pouch containing one of 3 random pin badges plus a Kumamon message. Limited quantities each day — buy early!
New Year Postcard 2027 — Flower & Sheep design ¥180 Kumamon Square exclusive; limited stock
New Year Postcard 2027 — Yarn Ball design ¥180 Kumamon Square exclusive; limited stock
Charity Can Magnet (76 mm diameter) ¥600 Features Kumamon with “Rainbow of Hope” and “Thank you for supporting Kumamoto” message
Charity Acrylic Keychain (58 mm × 64 mm) ¥600 Show your Kumamoto pride on the go
Charity Postcard ¥200 Same “Rainbow of Hope” design as the magnet
Charity T-shirt (White / Light Blue, size L only) ¥3,800 Wear it to the Kumamon stage show!
Kumamon Square Trading Cards Vol. 2 (pack of 3) ¥660 9 designs total; random assortment per pack. Also available at Kumamon Square and the Osaka event venue
Mejirushi Charm ¥600 Clips onto umbrella handles, bottle caps, or pens so you never lose them; 2 designs

The Sankuma Bag is sold as a strictly daily limited item — once it’s gone, it’s gone — so the team strongly recommends buying it as soon as the doors open. The New Year postcards and trading cards are equally limited, making this a worthwhile stop for any Kumamon collector passing through Tokyo this autumn.

Can’t make it to Tokyo? The trading cards and most Kumamon Square exclusives are also available back at Kumamon Square in Kumamoto City, so keep an eye on upcoming stock announcements if you’re heading to Kumamoto instead.
