Kumamon Square’s Online Channel Returns September 4 After Summer Break

Kumamon Square, the downtown Kumamoto hub dedicated to everyone’s favorite bear mascot, runs a regular online program called Kumamon Square Channel — a casual info show covering the latest news about Kumamon, Kumamon Square, and Kumamoto Prefecture in general. After a break in July and August, the channel is returning with Episode 81 on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.

If you’re new to it, the show is a handy way to keep up with Kumamon events and Kumamoto happenings even if you can’t visit in person. Episodes are made available through the Kumamon Square website, so bookmark that page if you want to catch the livestream or watch it later on demand.

Note that live stage performances at Kumamon Square have been on hold recently, so the channel is currently one of the easier ways to get a Kumamon fix while things are in flux. Whether you’re a long-time fan or just discovered the big red-cheeked mascot, tuning in on September 4 is a low-effort way to see what’s going on in Kumamoto right now.
